Capstone Partners, a leading national investment banking advisory firm, announced that it has advised Homeserve plc (LSE: HSV.L) on its recent strategic alliance with an undisclosed, leading investor-owned integrated energy company serving the southeast region of the United States. Capstone Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to Homeserve on this transaction.
Homeserve’s US business, Home Service USA, based in Miami, Florida, currently works with nine utility partners in both the municipal and investor owned sectors, including Aqua America, FirstEnergy Corp., Portland Water District, and United Water. Terms of the strategic alliance were not publicly announced.
Home Service USA is an independent provider of homeowner emergency assistance programs. The company was established in the U.S. during 2003 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Homeserve plc, the world leader in the provision of home emergency assistance programs for utility partners. Homeserve has over 14 years of successfully providing these services to customers of its partner companies and has operations in the US, UK, France and Spain. Together Homeserve companies are managing over 7.5 million home assistance service contracts for more than 140 companies including over 40 major utility providers.
