Capstone Partners Welcomes Senior Professionals to Financial Advisory Services Team

Boston, MA – Capstone Partners is pleased to announce the addition of two senior professionals who recently joined the firm’s Financial Advisory Services (FAS) group: Managing Director Brian Pitera, and Director Michael Grant.

About Brian Pitera

Mr. Pitera brings more than 20 years of experience advising global clients across the entire business lifecycle with an emphasis on transaction advisory and performance improvement services.

Over the course of his career, Pitera has successfully led three IPO readiness projects, seven start-ups, eight CXO assignments, 10 turnarounds, 23 carveouts or integrations, and more than 100 business growth or turnaround projects. He has been instrumental in driving over $5 billion in accumulated EBITDA contribution through 400+ buy or sell-side transactions and business transformations, across of range of industries including Healthcare, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals and Nutraceuticals, Food & Beverage, Industrials, Consumer Goods, Retail, Technology, and Business Services

Prior to joining Capstone, Pitera was the Executive Managing Director of E78 Partners, a boutique firm specializing in Private Equity fund management, CFO services, and Transaction Advisory. Previously Pitera was National Practice Lead for Grant Thornton’s Transaction Services Operations and Performance Improvement solutions group; CEO, Co-Founder, and Managing Partner Blossom Growth Partners; along with leadership roles at Kearney and Alvarez & Marsal.

Pitera earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in Finance and Organizational Behavior Management from Northwestern University and is an alumnus of the Global C-Suite Executive program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

About Michael Grant

Mr. Grant brings more than 15 years of professional experience that includes special situations, transaction advisory, performance improvement, and restructuring and turnaround work across a broad range of industries including Restaurants, Food & Beverage, Aerospace & Defense, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, and Marketing, as well as significant direct experience in business operations and C-level leadership.

Prior to joining Capstone, Mr. Grant served as Senior Director for Corporate Finance and Restructuring at SierraConstellation Partners and Restructuring Associate at Carl Marks Advisors. Additional previous experience includes serving as CFO for an experiential marketing collective and President and CEO of a New York-based restaurant group.

Mr. Grant has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
