Capstone Partners Advised The Carr Company on the Creation of an ESOP
Capstone Partners advised the Carr Company—a full-service manufacturers’ representative firm—on the creation of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1967, The Carr Company is a premier manufacturers’ representative agency in Florida’s growing plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC industries. Carr offers an extensive product and service array—including inside and outside sales, analytics, warehousing, and design—and maintains entrenched and exclusive relationships with premier manufacturers such as Delta, Toto, and more.
Carr has operated as a family business across three generations and for more than 50 years. With the sale of the company to the ESOP trust, the legacy owners will continue to manage the business day-to-day for many years while transferring the financial benefits of ownership to Carr’s employees.
