Capstone Partners has advised Binax, who researches, develops, manufactures, and markets rapid point of care diagnostic tests for detection of infectious diseases, on their sale to Inverness Medical Innovations (Inverness). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Based out of Portland, Maine Binax is a privately-held company who is considered a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of rapid diagnostic products for infectious disease testing, primarily related to the respiratory system. The acquisition will help with new product developments in the future.
